Nice Dalton Stringman!  I was just showing off your points I got in the point trade to a student of mine who is an artifact collector today.  He said, "that wasn't the first point he ever made, the indians didn't spend that much time on them."  ;D  He just kept feeling the edges and saying, "look @ all those small flakes."  We may have a new addition to the addiction.  >:D

It could be I really don't know where I found this rock at i know I packed some spalls out of the knapping pit at the classic  this year he k it could have been in there lol it worked like it was heated so prolly is from there I don't heat my rock

I tried for a big dalton with a nice chunk of raw perd.  I had it to a little thick preform when I hit a little high with the bopper...



I took the point end and made a small dalton.  The serrations aren't too good.

So......I tried.  I gave some blood in the pit lastnight and this is what came of it :-\ It isn't the best but I am proud because it is the first time I started with a biface and shaped it into something I actually wanted instead of what the rock wanted :P Hope ya'll like it!!!!!
