Ew. Pretty. Both pictures are great but I like the second best. That's what I was thinking for point type. What material is that one tower?

That really is some beautiful stuff and you did it proud Tower.

Russell, just in case you don't know. This is different than the bow of month. No voting. Someone post a picture of a point type and anyone can try to make one like me it. Kinda makes you turn the stone into what you want, not what you can get out of it.

Don, if I get a chance I'll give that one a shot.

I have not got to knap for several days now so I was glad to have time tonight to sit down and make something.
I determined to make a Cahokia for POM and started out with a piece of gravel but it turned out too thick, so I did this one out of a piece of Georgetown.

Well it's not as pretty as those two but it's worthy of posting a picture. Glad to see this thread rejuvenated.

Try a bottle bottom Russell. There's you tube videos that show how to do it. This is a nice point to try.
Glass is easy to find and it knaps just like Obsidian. It can take a lot of $$ worth of stone to figure this out.

Thanks 1442. Got a few steps and not the nicest flake pattern. Perfect size and weight though.
Really cool petrified palm.
Bjrogg
PS sure do miss Zuma. If anyone sees him around tell him I said I've been thinking of him.
