A very good shooting "D"bow. Check out Jawges web site.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

It can be confusing, Butch, so keep asking questions. A D bow starts bending in the handle and the bend increases toward the nocks. It looks like an ellipse. The D cross section refers to the rounded belly. If I were you I'd go with a flatbow. No power tools for the first few. Thanks for the kind words, Jpitts. Jawge

You should also check out
http://www.geocities.com/salampsio/oak.htm
since the bow he goes over there is made from the same red oak and the directions are very good.
