Montana hunting trip

Hi guys, I posted a while ago about organizing a trip to America to go hunting. Well another of my friends is going to be coming along now and he has always wanted to goto Montana. What i'm wondering is if you guys could point me in the right direction to find out about hunting permits, laws etc in Montana. Maybe even recommend a guiding outfit (local advise)rather than just google it, to try and work out exactly where we want to be heading. We are planning to hunt for 2 -3 weeks taking minimal gear with us , fast and light, and just head off into the middle of nowhere and take it from there! We are both competent outdoorsy types so no worries there.
Any help would be great! Many thanks.

When are you coming? What are u hunting?
You missed the draw for this year. Google Mt FWP, download the hunting regs and go from there.

You can also browse some sights like eastmans, biggamehunting.net and bowsite.

The deer draw is tough, the elk draw not as bad. I think half the elk killed in Mt are in the districts around Bozeman but the herds are also dwindling in the same districts so that might change soon.

Good luck!
