Takedown sleeve arrow rest question
« on: May 03, 2012, 01:44:32 am »
I am working on a 2pc takedown and I was wondering how to handle the arrow rest? The sleeve makes the handle 1 1/4"s before any kind of wrap and that is thicker than I normally like. Maybe someone has a suggestion or a picture or two showing the way they did it?

No pic witb me but i glue 2-3 pieces of leather file down at an angle so the top is untouched and the bottom is down to metal so it looks like wood grain . Round the edges than i wrap with deer leather and stich down the front ...clear as mud?
Is this bow making a sickness? or the cure...

I just glue a wooden rest to the side of the sleeve and then cover with leather. On the bow below I also cut a bit into the fade to make it closer to center shot. But don't get too carried away with that.
