@ryddragyn: just air dried the skins same as snake skins except when I laid them out I left the skins scales side up as opposed to down (the way I do with the snake skins).

RIPPER! I dig the bending going on there.

APH?  By some chance did you delete those photos from Photobook (or some other online photo storage site)?  That may explain why the photos are not coming up on your posts.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

THAT BOW IS AWESOME!  I've been wanting to make something like that for a while.  Nice job dude!   I really really like that bow!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Very nice bow! great to see so many variations of bows and the other type of woods against the carp skin backing. Very even tiller and nice detail work. Congratulations

Hey guys. I had a couple people ask me if I had any pics of the build, which I don't, but I did video each "step" of the entire build for my Youtube channel. I posted a link to the second video in the series as the first is just a introduction of the bow I am going to build. I suppose there is also a teaser of a future bow in the first video, but I'll post that one on PA as soon as I finish it up. So if anyone would like to see the steps of the carp/sinew osage shorty then check out the "how to and build along" section and thank you to everyone for all the kind words and interest!

i watched the entire build. it was very interesting to watch
i was curious  as to what you used to seal the bow with.
i also noticed that you live in a very dry climate, so wood and sinew cure very quickly there.
i live in a very humid environment so sinew on a bow really has no benefits here.
just some observations. i like the bow and your presentation of it. rv

@broketooth: Thank you for taking the time to watch the build! I used Deft brand: Satin Poly as a sealer.

BRAVO!!!  Wonderful job-easily my favorite style of bow.  The non contact recurve bow was around for thousands of years and I love your bow.   Just amazing curves.
