Here's something else I would like to bring up about your projects....yeah, pics!  I understand with the sensitivity on privacy and such that would need to get permission from the school and each of the people featured in the photos, too.

But since you already have permission to rebel against modern technology and the Wheelie Bow Amalgamation I think the permission slips would be pretty easy stuff for you to accomplish!

JW, I will take all pictures off school grounds, as per school rules,
And as for the frequency of these pictures you need to remember that I picked up the boards on Friday night... The work is done at school... It is still weekend
I guess that I could start roughing one out though, to show everyone the finished product.

i got to school on the bus today, so no planks were transported :'(
but after all the homework was done and after boyscouts (where i won a cookoff) i was feelin sorta antsy so  i decided to go 3 steps ahead...
i will probably have a finished product when they are halfway through
enough talk, picture time

sorry for the letdown, ipod cameras stink >:(
and i did go 3" at the fades, i just want to follow this first buildalong to the letter before i start tweaking the plans

I am sure that youngsters of any time period are able to get done whatever they put their mind to , so I feel confident you will get this pulled off !
We had a trap shooting team when I was in school we shot clay targets in the school yard !!
we could not carry a knife with a blade longer than
1 1/2" even though its only 1" to the heart go figure !

Have fun but stay safe !!!

that is awesome YB2! Try showing your 'students' some videos from youtube about primitive archery, that ought to keep them interested as well. Good luck and keep us posted with your progress!
