Jesse, Thats how it is. The building part is easy compared to visualizing what you want make. and what to do next to the bow after its shooting, even if it shoots well.
I'd make another bow for your friend, but I'd have him shoot that one if possible just to see how he likes it, and he can give you feedback for exactly what he wants..
Starting the deflex part of the curve closer to the grip and having a longer curve throughout the limb will be easier to tiller since it's naturally more stable when much of the curve is in the wider section of the limb..
As good as you have done on this bow, the second one liike this will be better, and then" his" friends will see what you have made him.
