Crappy weather results
« on: April 22, 2012, 03:16:13 pm »
Well when the world hands ya a no fish day you can always hit the rock pile.I grabed a couple pieces of novaculite I bought up at the Flint Ridge knapp-inn last fall and had at it.The first one had some nice lines  and color ,I stopped at this stage till I figure out what I want to do with it as far as notching etc.

The last one started getting translucent as I thinned it out.It was a stange shape to begin with and I wanted to save as much as I could so it became a corner tang knife.

Well the weather broke and it's nice outside so I'll see ya'll later.

Gorgeous!! You did that very well! Hope the fishing is as good as the knapping!
Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.
