I've been playing with D bows lately (you just gotta love 'em

) and finally finished this one up. Hickory D with a sinew back glued with Knox gellatin with walnut stain, linseed finish, and turkey feather wind indicator. It is my new favorite, sweet, quiet, and smooth. It is 1 1/4" at the widest, tapering to 5/8" tips at half pin nocks (they were gonna be side nocks, but it fell on the floor and popped off... I liked it so I just left it

). It is 5/8" thick at the handle, tapering to 3/8" at the tips. It is about 55# and a really nice shooter, and accurate enough to make it one of my top hunting bows

. And I can't forget to thank Pat for the sinew

!!
