Turkey medicine #1
« on: April 21, 2012, 10:44:17 am »
Just got done with one of my turkey arrows. Its boo, natural turkey feathers cut by hand, and glued with hide glue and sinew wraps and hide glue. The trade point is one of a batch Mr Richards was gracious enough to give me. It was about 133 grains prior to mounting. Im guessing its close to 145 with sinew and hide glue holding it secure. I still plan to mount a stone point Bub gave me as well. I should have a real variety in my quiver by the time my season arrives!

Very nice!  I'm looking forward of seeing another picture of it along with your bow resting on a bird.  Good luck!

Thanks all!!

My dad was/is a professional butcher. I gave the trade blanks to him to sharpen. Its amazing how sharp he gets my stuff. I have been at it for years and he doesnt even hunt! If it has an edge dad can make it razer sharp.
