Go to youtube,  Search "otzi arrow build" there is a 3 video serries.

I send mine in 2-3" when I can but I use bamboo for the foreshafts.  I select a piece that wants to go in already and just drill out the main shaft a bit.  Then I suggest bottoming out a node wall AND wrapping the shaft with a stop collar.

I made a little tool last night and it worked, not sure why I was having so much trouble with something so simple...

I just drilled a hole in a piece of wood with the same bit I drilled the boo, then used it as a guide for the insert of the foreshaft...so simple...

I don't drill mine..bout 1 1/2 bottom out on node...make sure you blunt the tip of your fore shaft or it will split your cane on impact..I have never split my cane since I blunt the tip and wrap with sinew..yes I glue mine with hide glue..soak in water to remove if needed..gut

Those are some deadly looking arrows gutpile! What do use for foreshaft material?  Did you knap those points?
