Made a couple of Notchers

Made a couple of horseshoe nail notchers tonight. the numbers are the nail size.


Hope to try them out tomorrow!
Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.

I used something called 'quick steel' (I think that is what it's called. It is a clay epoxy type stuff. Seemed to work pretty good.

I made one of those awhile back.  Works good to remove those small flakes that you can't get w/ your fingernail too. dp

I now keep a narrow snap knife in my kit to pry those flakes off. The last point I did, I was using my thumbnail to pop a flake off and run the flake under the nail. Still have a piece of obs in there.
