Stuff for trade at the Classic
« on: April 03, 2012, 10:28:48 pm »
I thought I would put up list of stuff I can bring to trade at the Classic next month.  Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll bring it.  I will try to post pictures of some of the stuff in a couple of days.

Osage staves
Hackberry staves
Hickory staves
Splitting wedges, one is giant
Heavy spined bamboo shafts.  Various weights 60 lbs and up
Secondary turkey feathers.  LW and RW
Maybe a belt/disc sander
I can cut elm and hackberry trees if anyone wants an entire log.

Stuff I am looking for:

Skins to back a bow with
String material
Hand made knives
Leather
bamboo shafts in the 50 lb range
staves
Pieces of fur
Nicholson #49 or #50 rasps.
Shinto rasp
Knapping stone and tools
Let me know if you have something else

Pat, I can't wait to try them.  I just finished up some target arrows today.  I'll post them tomorrow.  I'm very happy with how they turned out.  I'll use your cane for hunting arrows.  I got your staves set aside  :)

Blackhawk, I have 2 staves of HHB left.  I like the stuff.  It makes a fine bow.  I guess I could always use more  ;)  As far as other staves, I'm not sure.  I have osage, hickory, elm, hackberry, and one piece of yew that Keenan gave me last year.
