Thanks for the positive comments guys.
Leskin2011~  It's getting thin up there already.  At this point I learned this.  Ipe makes beautiful bows.  Ipe is forgiving to work with as far as tillering.  You should have seen the hinge I accidentaly gave it.  No Chrysals. There are ways to get the kind of curve I wan't for an Ipe Recurve.  Kerf Cutting will likley not be necessary.  It feels substantial to draw.  I almost want to check my bow scale for accuracy but I probably got weak over the winter.  Finishing is as simple as my favorite natural danish oil and some Deft or in this case Shelac and wax.  Those angular tip splices work realy well.  I'll use them much more.

I have 2 ELB's in the works now.  I need horn tips for those.  I could use antler I guess.  Then I'm doing a recurve.  NO if's ands or Buts.

I think it's cool.  I'd call that a happy acident and it gives it character.   I would be happy if my best bows looked that good.
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?
