I was looking, again, at using Tite-bond for applying wood backings to quarter sawn cores. I searched the web and came up with several references to Tite-bond III having a shorter working time than Tite-bond II. After checking the manufacturer's specs I found this to be UNtrue. Titebond III had twice the working time as Tite-bond II.
I just thought I might pass that along for two reasons:
First I have misread things in the past
And second, to help others who might be considering the same options.
According to Franklin, the manufacturer, Tite-bond III is stronger, sets up slower, and is more waterproof. It also costs slightly more and has a darker glue line.
