Arrows tailing right
« on: March 06, 2012, 12:53:09 pm »
I noticed on a few of my arrows that when they hit they are hitting with the nock to the right. Is that because they are too stiff? I am guessing that I am not coming to full draw either and thats probabley why the arrows I thought were spinned for the bow are too stiff. Have to work on both form and get some arrows made up that are a little weaker.  Comments and suggestions?   Danny

For a right handed shooter nock right means spine too weak.

Pat thanks. I am glad to know I can shorten the existing shafts. I will do it today in 1/2 inch increments until they fly straight.  Danny

On short range shots, 8-10 yards, I will occasionally have an arrow or two exhibit the same problem.  I figure that it is due to me "plucking" (I'm a right-handed shooter).

If the whole arrows hiting right it's spines to weak. If the fweathers are cocking right it's your release or a como of each. Your release can mtter in spine a LITTLE. Release with your bottem finger (third) down first. By doing this the next 2 fingers have to follow. Alowing for a perfect release every time. I've used this for as long as I've shot fingers.

I shortened my shafts a half an inch and they are flying like darts now.  Danny
