Here is a picture of Scott from Michigan at a very impressive demonstration of the power behind a English War Bow. The arrows were easily pentrating a heavy steel plate about the same thickness of Medieval Armour.

Great pics Dino!
Thanks! to you and Eric for a GREAT! woods walk! It was a challenge,we all had a lot of fun, even us spectators.

Jon,I wasn't sure I'd have time to film at the shoot this year, because it was also the weekend of the youth turkey hunt here in New York.Well it turned out to be a short hunt, my nephew Kenny shot his first gobbler  to end a 15 minute hunt.So I got the chance to film the woods walk and the clout shoot.
I'll post them online a week or two after I get back from the Tenn. Classic.

Jake,
It was a pleasure meeting you! I'm glad to hear you had a good time, you are an awesome archer! and hanging out with Gerry Lee and his English Long Bowmen, your hanging out with a great group!

Jon, when I post the video of the woodswalk, watch Jake, he's shooting a 110lb English War Bow!

I can't wait for next year!
Kevin

Hiya Kevin!
Thank you my friend, it was a pleasure to meet you as well mate!! I hope it is the first of many encounters! I thank you for making the turkey caller, beautiful work, killed my first gobbler last fall just in time for thanks giving, can't wait to go again, I am prepared this time! ;)
I can't wait to see the videos! Love the one of Kenny's first gobbler, good on 'im!
I will remember to bring my 122lber next year!
Right hears a few photos Gary Lee took of us warbow guys!:

Group shot

What Warbows are for, armour penetration! >:D

Hand forged bodkins were used. 80-110lb warbows.

Me and Scott, in line for Gerry's clout shoot

My attempt with my Italian yew and EWBS livery arrows

Scott, the victor of the clout shoot, and Gerry awarding him the war arrow prize!

These were just a few shots, we are lucky to have a photographer in our midst! Gary always takes beauties!
Thanks once again to all in making it such an awesome shoot!  ;D
Cheers,
-Jake
