Blackhawk Special BBO

Hey all...next to try with this design was in BBO(bamboo backed osage) form. Its 58"ntn...50@28"....11.5 ounces....slight bend in the handle....wenge over padauk tip overlays. its got a few minor flaws, such as a lil twist in the lower limb,a few spotty spots of bad glue lines, tiller is a hair off,and i lost an inch more than i wanted of my setback(slightly underbuilt)....BUT its a successful pleasant, sweet, smooth shooter in the end result. Even though things couldve been better it stilled turned out fairly well. We all know its hard to get a new design right the first go around, and it was a good learning experience as i am not a big glue up bow builder. Anyways here she is...enjoy it for what it is..and isnt :P  ;)

Your nuts! I bet it does smoke a mean arrow. You may need to rent a UHAUL for Marshall just to haul all your bows up for me to shoot. And I cant flippin wait to shoot ALL of 'em!

How do you get all this garage time? Didn't you say you have like a half dozen kids? ;)  Just kidding, another beautiful bow!

Wow :o you are really pushing how thin one can make tips ...i believe the arrow may have more mass at this point, cool 8) do you even know if the thing has gone off when you drop the string?
Is this bow making a sickness? or the cure...

I'm with Soy. Those tips are scary thin!! I love the drawn profile!!

Good attempt on the R/D, Hawkster.  They can be tricky.  What did you use for glue?

Wow, those are some nice streamlined limbs. Looks like it will smoke an arrow. I'm don't do very many glue ups as well, but looks like you have a winner.
