drawknife?

does anyone know where i can get a drawknife for a reasonable price or for trade?

Try ebay. I've seen them there for about 15 or 20 bucks.

Garage sales and flea markets are a good place as well.

This doesn't asnwer your question, but a drawknife is not all there is. You could easily make bows without one. It's not necessary for bowmaking, although I'm pretty sure many bowyers really adore a good drawknife for staves - not so much for boards, though.

I always check the antique malls that have multiple vendors under on roof. You can usually find a corner or one of the vendors that deals in old tools. Seen many spokeshaves and handplanes, froes and such. Usually pretty good prices too.

Antique stores or junk stores.  I check a couple near my house every now and then to see if they have any. 
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left
