Looks like you are almost ready, should be a great time for all.Have fun and keep the pictures coming. :)
   Pappy
Thanks Pappy, this has been a real group effort by many who are coming and a lot of talking and planning on the phone with others. I have everything done but food so I am shopping today after the shooting stakes are finished.  Scott,  John W Tim M and me will place the 3d shoot on firday.

The photo below is a stake for a 100 yard war shot.  I need suggests for how to run that shot.  Should it be score only on of the best of three arrows? This target is placed in an open field so finding arrows will not be an issue because it was disced.

Some of the other setups will be a running pig bag, shot over small pond at a deer, a shot at a duck on the edge of a pond and a polar bear in a wooded valley.   The rest are fun shoots through V ed trees and real trail like settings.

Wow, thank you Flint River Bowhunters!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Got back home a little after noon yesterday and spent he rest of the day recovering from the weekend. I think i can speak vor the group and say WOW!!! Great prep work, nice facilities, outstanding "last minute" 3d range, good company, nice demos... what have I left out. Oh yeah, how bout them FIRE DANCERS!!!  >:D

I am hopin Iowabow and Bevan will start posting some pics pretty soon. It was a wonderful time to sit around and enjoy the weather. Waking up to turkeys on the roost and 70 degree temps, then ham an eggs with cinnamon rolls and coffee (thank you Mrs. Iowabow!)

I was glad to meet and get to know 3 more PA members. This reinforces  the notion that these are some of the finest guys on the planet! Also met John C. Whitaker who happens to be the author of a flintknapping book I am reading. If you ever get a chance to spend some time with him, you will not regret it.

All around, we had a fair turn out and a pleasant time talking shop and swapping stories. One of the highlights of the event for me was watching Pat throw an atlatal dart between 2 trees (a foot apart) and drill a turkey target from 15 yards! This was witnessed by several guys and everyone nearly fell over! Except Pat who calmly walked over pulled his dart and turned back around as if to say "what?!?"

Great event, John! Let's do it again sometime.

We had the most unbelievable weather! Some attributed the 80 degree weather to the prayers offered to the gods by JW.

All joking aside this was a real fun weekend! We had about 20 people show up in total. The weather could not have been better. The company could not have been better, it was truely a great time. So I am going to share a lot of photos take by Bevan and Annette. When Bevan arrived he presented Annette with a gift he made for her (that was really nice thank you!)for all the work she put into the event.
