Eric that skin was only 12" long. I split it on the lateral line and wrapped sinew at the seam to blend it some.

Hey Drums!  Tell Dave, what a nice bow!  I sure like them carp skins.  Gonna have to get me some.  Maybe I envision a carp shoot in my near future...

your right about pictures not doing it justice, that is the first bow ive seen in person with carp skins, now i have to have one. thats an outstaning bow

That is awesome, I never heard of using carp skin. It really looks nice. How do you prepare the skin before backing?
