Osage ala' carp
« on: March 11, 2012, 08:53:04 pm »
This is my buddy Daves first osage bow. Its 64" ttt, 1 5/8" wide, 1/2" tips. Its backed with thinned down rawhide and carp skins. The tips are zebra wood. She is 58# @ 27" and really smokes an arrow. Its holds about 1/2" reflex after a little rest. Its hands down the nicest bow to leave my shop. These pics do it NO justice. I know some of you will see it this summer in person. Enjoy!

Thanks all! He is quite proud of his new bow. We went out shooting in the woods yesterday after the pics. It was very warm for March. The bottom limb looks a tad weak I know. Its not. There are two wiggles in that limb that go in diff directions. You can see the dark color changes.
