Recorcinol is the only glue that I know of that can be safely steamed after curing and retain it's strength.

It's hard to cut the splice good enough to get a good bond with the TB's.  I suspect with a perfectly cut and tight splice titebond might work.   I'm not that good.   I use Smooth-On epoxy and I've seen Urac work well too.

2-ton epoxy slow cure...30 minute set...not the 5-minute.

I think Urac can handle some steaming. It is the best wood/wood glue out there.

Urac needs 70deg(F) to cure. More heat, quicker curing.  It is a good gap filler too.

URAC will take all kinds of heat abuse if its mixed and cured properly. Its all I use on splices.  Matt had some Resorcinol a few months ago, that was my first time of seeing it in person. Stick with URAC.

The only glue I use for splicing is Urac. I have heat bent a bunch of osage and bamboo osage glued with Urac, no failures.
