Western Auto! My great grandparents had on in their town. I was bummed when it closed. In town we have three hardeware stores plus some other shops for more specific needs and we do not even have 2000 people.

@Jeanette - how did the dryer go out? I have replaced the heating coil in the back and door switches and latches - so your dryer may be repairable.

Rotating SOLAR clothes dryer - Funny!

Memories are sweet !
The old stores with wooden bins, wooden kegs ,glass bowls full of candies (5 cents for a hand full ) all gone !!
we still have some smaller stores cause we are a rural area a half hour or more to big box stores (only 19000 people in the whole county) The appliance store still hauls away everyones old stuff, its in the ally out back if you need a part!!
Will someone please explain to me how we got so messed up anyway ! throw away mentality yuck !
