You can take the large ones apart and make smaller kiln. Rewire and re coiling are not a big deal either.

I had thought of that, but I am not sure it is worth the bother. I think I will keep an eye out for something like John just got. That looks more my style.
Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.
