You nailed the tiller on this one.  Welcome to this site.  Got your fine BL bow bookmarked for July Self Bow of the Month if thats okay with you.

Hey many thanks Jbell, snedeker, and OldBow!

OldBow, wow that would be an honor, thanks.

I forgot to mention that the bow is 1 3/4 inch wide to midlimb and tapers to nocks just a little under 1/2 inch. It started out with just under an inch of reflex and ended up just about straight, maybe just a slight reflex, after tillering to my 26 inch draw and shooting it in. Also the handle is wrapped with hemp twine.

I got to see this bow in person this weekend, and pics don't do it justice. Alan did a fine job on this one.

I got to see it too. Alan came by the camp-o-rama Sunday morning for a few hours. It was great to meet you Alan. Looking forward to more of your work. You make a pretty nice stone pointed hardwood shoot arrow too. ;)     Pat

That's a lovely bow out of an interesting piece of wood - great character. Hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Thanks backgardenboyer!  It's a great shooter, the best I've made so far, although I've not made all that many.  :)

I really like that Alan.  I just cut my first locust tree a couple weeks ago.  Looking forward to working it.  Very nice bow.  The tiller looks classy.
