Couple reworked points
« on: February 22, 2012, 04:34:07 pm »
Here are a two differant types of Edwards flint. Raw they were ok but I decided to put a little heat on them. The roan colored point was brown before it was heated. I really like the color change. Both points were made from previously broken points.

Thanks for posting those points.  I have a couple I think I will revisit. They look great.  I was looking at the points you sent me and I like how you finish the edge.  Could you post a picture of the tool you use to do the egde finish work.

Thanks for the kind words. For the final edge work I use a home made flaker with a small copper nail,& the back of my pad. Here is a pic.
