so basically around here we have 2 kinds of native "grapes" one being the more real grape and the other being the muscadine.
Cut one today that was the biggest ive ever seen by far. about 6 inches in diameter. donno what circumference would be but i would need another hand to get my hands all the way around it. Not sure exactly what species it was but it actually had heartwood its so big. ive seen fruit on other vines around the property but this massive one has never made any fruit im ever aware of. tho it could be so old it makes a very small amount thats gotta by birds. Spread out thru 5-6 big trees. pretty light stuff too. very porous.
So whats the biggest vine you have seen b4? ive actually seen a MUCH MUCH bigger virginia creeper vine. couldnt even get your arms around this thing.
and any ideas what i could do with this stuff. seems like it might be interesting to try to make something out of it. a bow would be awesome ofc
