NOT my swap bow...
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:09:55 pm »
and you can thank these guys for telling me to keep it for myself! I wanted to give it away...but nooooo..."keep it Pearly" they said   ;D

Bevan
Beetle
Clint
Tortoise
Pat
Bub
Pappy
Chris
Dron
Rich
Artsy
Sidewinder
Del
Jawgey poo
and last but not least Keenan

The bow is 64" ntn, 50# @ 28 after several hundred arrows.
1 9/16" at the fades 12" out then tapers to 7/16" tips
The tips and grip are mesquite and osage lam'ed
The skins are absolutely gorgeous in person. They are orange in color Texas rats
The grip is from a whitetail the singer in my band shot and tanned - COOL!
Stacked leather rest
Its sealed in Zip Guard - three dips per half
10 strand D97/10 blend string with wool yarn for added protection to the loops
The silencers are skrat I tanned. I have a lifetime supply from three skrats!

As usual the pics suck it up...but I got three posts worth!

Wait,,,,,,,,I must have been delusional when I made that comment,,,,,,,,,,,Are you certain! I must have meant give that bad boy away immediately lest you fall in love and be swayed to keep her. Just kidding of coarse.  That is a beaut!

Man that's fine!!!!!!!!!!!

No name Bevan. I just started putting my intials on them. I did do one cool thing on this one for fun. I wrote the length, weight, draw and year in yellow! You can barely read it now but as time ticks by it will become for visible. Im excited to watch it change over the summer!

Cool idea. What did you use with yellow ink?

Thanks, I had never thought of using those. I use them for cresting shafts.

incredibly nice PD! Love those skins... Can you get a pic of how you pad your loops with yarn? I'm interested in that idea.
