Well today I was splitting some red elm got one log quarterd,and sent Gundoc some pics...well he writ back and said that it was not the perfect country and western song... ??? Wait I mean he says that it is not red elm that it is minnesoda grown osage orange...well we need ya all to weigh in and help settle this little bet. I will post some more bark and end ring and grain pics tomorrow

They were cut in the woods next to some standing red elm witch I will put pics of also...the leaves looked like slippery elm and it has no spikes/pokers
Is this bow making a sickness? or the cure...

yeller mongolian tulipwood........ive never seen a bow made from it.....send it to me for further inspection and for its first trial run. i dont think its any good and wouldnt want you to be wasting your time with it ;)

hmmm ::).....i wish i had me one of those staves ;)

i think its a male maclura pomifera

some times the males arent as thorny and furrow barked as a female,and do not produce fruit.....the inside of the wood tells it all...unless you photoshopped it and are being a tricksy hobbit :laugh:...was there anymore around like it?...like in a row fashion?
