i was thinking about taking some doug fir and making a inuit style cable bow (they mostly used spruce and fir whatever was available to make a usable bow) but i dont want to post it if no one cares.

Bryce I would be interested to see how it works I have thought about trying Old Growth very tight ring Doug Fir backed with something. Definately please post!!!

Alright ill probably just extend it from this topic. I have a 5" dia. Tree I've been beating since it was young so hopefully its tough now lol ill go cut it tomorrow throw it in the hot box and get started here in the next few days.
