Here are some pics of recent failed bows. The first is an oregon ash bow. I think I stressed it when i flipped the tips after tiller was near complete. The second is a vine maple recurve, that i got a little carried away with one night shortly after bending the limbs. The first ELB was an old bow my dad had made, I got carried away trying to use dry heat and reflex the tips on that one. I had been used to working with wet wood and steam and dry wood just doesn't agree like wet wood does to bending. The last is a wall hanger that tried to string and bring to full draw, before i knew better about such violations. Anyway, was catching up on picture taking today, and thought I would share.
