Caught?  Not shot?  How would you catch one of them nasty nippers without getting caught yourself???

I can almost taste him from here, yum!

I saw the dogs, but didn't see any vests on them so I didn't think they were in on it.

That's one nice looking and healthy piggie.

Those are the strike dogs the catch dogs wear vests and cut collars, they look like battle bots with lags. Ron

I almost wish we had them up here.  But knowing how hard they are to control once they are established give me pause.

Excellent Ron!  Any pics of the catch dogs in their gear?  Would love to go do that some day...

That's a cute one, Ronnie ;D. The young boy that works for me caught 7 last week and turned them loose after he cut them. He came in this morning and showed me pictures of his dog he spent most of the night sewing up because he jumped out before he could get the vest on. He did catch it though, 287#. Tell you boy I said that's a nice one and well done. ;)

JW they are a real problem for farmer even livestock farmers they are agressive and will attack valuable dairy cows and the like, on the other hand they are a hoot to hunt and almost anyone who has them on their  land will let you hunt them out of desperation. As far as myself I go after them with bow or gun I aint about to try to catch one, my son like the adrenaline rush. Ron

It is fun! But I'm with Ronnie, did it when I was young but one screw up and I'm out of work for awhile.

I met a guy that had been out of work for 8 months because a sow had spun and caught him on the left wrist and didn't quit biting till she got to the shoulder and he stuck her with a knife. He had multiple fractures and almost lost his arm from infection.

I like hunting with bay dogs and shooting them or stalk hunting and shooting them with bow or gun. Oh, and Jeep or truck :D.

Nice pig, but I don't see why you would catch them and kill them later when it is so much safer to kill them now.
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.
