I was looking for silk all day today couldn't find anything that was 100% silk...... And is tightbond II good for silk?

Try the good will or a second hand store I get my silk there, usually shirts or ties and yes tb2 will work. Why do you want to back it? How is the progress? got that beast strung? pics pics pics ;D

  I'm no expert on vine maple but I can say this thats to sharp of a been for nay white wood I know. OSAGE WOULD BE A BIG MAYBE. Hope you make it bet and give you odds it won't make it. Like I said hope it dose BUT your asking alot.

I once made a bow with a sharper bend than that...

It blew at the fade! I had left the bark on and as the back cracked it to some wood with it.
I'm not sure if it woulda made it to 27"...


De-barking is by far my most hated part of bow building.!

In my 7 years of bow making I've never even touched or seen a piece of Osage......I hear its good lol

I will admit iam pushing the limits of this wood. But hey, that's what its all about, breaking the rules.and sometimes your bow! HAHAHA.

Got her tillered to 24" last night then went to bed lol. And now on the lower limb I'm getting a little twist, a bit sketchy.

2" to go!

couldnt find any silk it was all polyester or rylon but i found some pretty good looking linen. so i just used that.
