Hill Cane Arrow- Another one added
« on: February 02, 2012, 06:04:49 pm »
I just finished this up last night. It is some of Pat's Hill Cane. This arrow flies excellent out of a 50# bow.The point is Coastal Plains chert. It's glued on with pine pitch, and wrapped in sinew. Then I sealed all the sinew wraps on the point and fletching with my own mixture of pine sap varnish. The colors are leather dye.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Cool arrow, Eddie. I especially like that point.  What physical weight did the arrow come to?

Thanks Art, Pat and sadiejane. I don't like making arrows but every once in awhile I get the bug. Pat, I haven't weighed it, never really weighed any of my arrows much. I just see if they shoot good. Art, I feel like I was blessed by the Pope. ;D

Nice arrow Eddie  8)  I couldn't tell from the picture, but is Hill Cane the large cane I got from Pat at the Classic last year?
