Worked on the bow today. Got it ready to heat the twist and tweak the lineup tomorrow.

    I just finished doing the lettering on my bow. Now all it needs is a few more coats of finish, a handle wrap and a strike plate. Unless my house burns down or some such, there's nothing to keep it from going out in the next few days.
    I'm going to hate to send it away but I've got a twin started for myself, so I guess I'll get over it.   Rob

   I scraped a little more,shot around 100 arrows,shortened each limb 1in shot another 50 arrows. What do you guys think?

   She feels pretty sweet for what i consider a shorty. 59" n2n 54@28 right at 1in set. Will prabably lose a couple pounds before i get her slicked up and ready to ship. But i think i will call her good unless something shifts in the next few days.

I also ended up with the wiinning bid on a yew stave on ebay yesterday. So now i wont know what to expect when the ups man stops. Ive always wannted to try a yew bow, so ill be like a kid in a candy store no matter which package gets here first. ;D

Pretty much ready to shoot in, strarted to finish sand her tonight. I love working with a scraper on the belly for finish tillering, makes it a lot smoother even before sandpaper.

Did have to put a rawhide patch on the upper limb, small knot started to collapse, had a small chrysal to take care of. 62'' ntn.

I finally found some time to work on my swap bow

 Just an ol' hickory stick right now but I get her roughed out. Ain't quite sure what direction she'll take but we'll see. Thinking about giving it a touch more reflex and a little flip o' the tips. probably leave the cambium on and do a nice stain job on her.

 

 

 

 Got to get the dogleg heated out of it for sure
