James you are such a tease, You will pay for that one Bud!

Pat that is a beaut of a bow. That natural cambium back looks pure primitive. Great looking bow!

Thanks guys. I'm loving me some HHB bow wood.  ;D  That is some good stuff!!!  This bow is from Twin Oaks HHB too. I believe this is a piece Greg B gave me my first time at the Classic...or it might be some King Ron(ret) gave me last year. As seasoned as it felt while working it it must have been from that first visit to Twin Oaks.
I still need to shoot at least 50 more arrows, exercise her out to 28" more(all I can draw is 26"), add a few more coats of Tru-Oil with a satin poly overspray and seal the handle wrap with Massey finish. Hopefully she will be heading to her new home early next week.

yup...cooking up something good right there pearl....how did you like applying the hide glue....and i see you used a crock  ;)

I waited too long to try hide glue. Performance wise I cant say yet. Application wise hide glue is 10x better than TB ever dreamed off being. I checked it out this morning and its glass smooth and I love the dried color, so much so I may not even cover it up after all. I made double the glue I needed so I guess I will just have to build another sinew backer for me to kill a turkey with this spring.

I LOVE HIDE GLUE FOR SINEW........there I said it Mockinghawk
