Did some more thinning on the grip section of the Dogwood last night.
Got it all shellacked up and ready for the steam.
Might build a clamping block for this try, as this bow is still too wide and too bent for my caul.
Still need at least three inches lateral correction to come close.
She wants to floor tiller now but the limbs are too far out to proceed till I get her straight.

I got the snakeskin on the trade bow tonight.  Still need to trim it up, but that's tomorrow's job.  Trying to decide if I should stain the bow back dark brown from the snakeskin out to the tip overlays.  I almost did it, then decided against it, but now I'm not so sure.  Hey, if you're who I drew would you let me know if you want the limb tips stained?? :D

Natural it is for me too George. Now we won't know who's gettin it cause everybody's said natural. That is one awesome lookin bow specially with the peep sight! Love to get my hands on an Osage bow since we don't have it round these parts. All we have is that ol Yew and Vine maple, ocean spray and stuff. ;)

OK finally got mine done, it only took me four trys ::)(now i have two bows for me ,one blew up) and i still came in a little light(last minuet tweeking i just couldn't leave it alone)
in the pic its drawn to 28" i think it can do more and add a few pounds, i pulled it to 29'' on the tree but 28''  is what i shot  it in as.(left and right handed but I'm not good w/my right)
 it's a tri lam boo back,yellowheart core, Argentine Osage belly in e. woodland style . she shoots fast and straight about 162 fps, i hope the new owner likes her. here are a couple of pics let me know what you think, i will try to send it out this week.
