I haven't had any spare time in a long while. Work has kept me pretty tied up for a couple months. With that said I blew the dust off the ole knapping bag & tried to get back in the swing of things. There local material with a touch heat on em. I also percussioned a few blanks. Ready for pressure flaking. Hopefuly they'll turn out alright.

Thanks everyone. Still needed to work on the edges of the larger one. The material flaked more like glass than flint. I love TX rock.

Those look great! I look at the points you sent me and cant believe how good they are. That stone of yours sure breaks sound. My Burlington is a little soft in comparison. I like how your rock comes off in sheets and runs past center but doesn't want to over shoot the platform on the otherside. you do great work with that stone! I have been working Novaculite lately and I like how it releases but it seems almost to slick and I can easily over shoot with that stuff when knocking out bifaces.

Nice! I think your preforms are thinner than my finished points.
I'm coming down about a third of the way to your stompin ground on a hog hunt today. Already talking about a surf fishing trip later this summer. Any chance your work will slow down enough for an old man to come and visit? I'll bring Paul if he's in the state.
Be funny if I got down to your place before getting over to his...

Would love to hook up w some other knappers sometime. Fredricksburg is about the only knap-in I make. One of these days I might get to make some around the country. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Tower
