good morning.
our little ragtag group of bow folk get together and camp on a private farm outside baldwin ks every year on memorial day weekend.
yall are invited if you would like to join us.
plenty of room for camping. there is a farmhouse but all activities will be outdoors regardless of weather.
some folks start showing up thursday and we will be there thru monday
come for a long weekend or just the day
big firepit we do most of the cooking on.
tho yr welcome to bring yr own food and just cook for yrself.
we typically have big pots of such n such on the fire for everyone
most meals are more potluck style. everyone brings stuff to share, takes turns cooking and cleaning up(we have running water outside)
you will be responsible for bringing food, ice and whatever beverages you wish.
depending on temps there are typically one or two runs to town for more ice(about a 10 min drive)
also depending on temps there is a large above ground pool. if its been warm enough it will be ready to go so bring yr swimming gear.
children are welcome but there will be lots of adult beverages consumed, sailor talk etc so you decide.
not everyone camping at the farm that weekend will be making bows.
some will be there just to get outta the city, party a bit and hang with the tribe.
we do ask you leave the pets at home. the farm sustains numerous animals some of whom are older and are distressed by other critters
wayne will have some staves of osage, benches and plenty of tools to share.
we will have a tent like structure set up in case of rain etc
and plenty of lights for working into the night
targets set up for shooting, hawk and knife throwing
so bring any thing you want to use while out there.
we do discourage firearms as tho its the country the property is not that large and there are other farms close by.
