trapping a bow

So when you trap a bamboo backed bow would you trap just the backing or would the angle start at the top of the backing and continue through the belly?

Lee got the question out before me.

Should a bamboo backing come to an edge or can it be 'trapped' as well, exposing some of the 'strands'?

In trapping you make the cross section of the limb trapizoidal  ( /  \ ) from back to belly and not just the boo.

When 'trapping' a bamboo backed bow, I use the edge of the belly wood as a guide. I remove bamboo until the edge of the belly wood is exposed.
