I learned that long ago when I was asked if I wanted to declare a value and get insurance on a package (I was shipping a book).  I told the guy behind the counter, "A million bucks."  He said he could cover that insurance, but could I prove it was worth the million when time came to make the claim?  We laughed and went on about our lives, one of us a lot smarter for the passing of a small joke.
