My "go to" knife is a Swiss Arm pocket knife, mighty good steel in their blades.

Cool Dic, see My middle finger is protruding bellow the bottom off the stone in the last pic,I keep a firm grip on the stone and never move that finger and there for my guide never moves.One thing I didn't mention yesterday is the way to tell if you have the bevel at the right angle,the bevel should be 2-1,2x as thick as the blade(on either side),3-1 on a single edge knife. I hope I'm helping!!
