Gosh, can't believe it's been a week since I looked at this post! Thanks for the sentiment Pappy, but I live about 4 hours east of Buffalo, so it would probably be a little out of their way. Besides, I'm deployed and my wife might not know what to think of strange men showing up at the house to drop off wood

Then again, she's been married to me for 16 years, so likely nothing will surprise her

Thanks John,I miss a lot here also.Elm is a good wood,just have to treat it a lot like Hickory/and other white woods as far as keeping it dry while you are working on it. :)other than that it is tough and springy.

Howdy Pappy,

Again, really nice bow. I like the handle and arrow rest, the gentle R/D limbs, and I like the overall simplicity. To me, it's an ideal huntin' weapon.

great job Pappy.i have a snakey winged elm.63" 50@28.that elm does make a fast and quiet bow.once again,great job.see you in the spring,Steve

Thanks Canoe and Steve you are right, it is for some reason the quietest bow I think I have ever built, It may be the weight of the wood,not sure but it is very quite.

This bow makes things around it quieter!! Along with the absence of shock, you have to check the target to be sure you ever shot the bow!
