you don't get better people anywhere.your shafts will ship out in the morning.i will also throw in a tube of glue for the feathers from pearl drums.i'll also see if i have any rose and cane shafts.if i do,i'll throw in some of those for you to practice on.have fun,Steve

I second the living crap out of this statement. For like a dollar each they just can't be beat. The thing is to go there, look threw every 3/8" one they have (they usually have like 50 or so), and sort them into the straightest/straight ones. Since they're like 48" long, a little bend will not be as bad when cut to 30", or at least will be minor and easy to correct by hand even without heat. Then, sort those into the strongest spines. Then (this isn't usually too big of a problem for me personally but I'd thought I would include this), take out the ones that are have really bad grain run off. Then go to the next 2 closest lowes stores and repeat. I usually end up with 3 dozen or so really nice very over spined shafts, ready to be spined down to whatever spine you need, for like 30 dollars or something.

go to walmart and get a pack of the bamboo garden stakes.  Look at it for thicker ones and check for little beetle holes... not those.  if you fish through the bin you can get a couple 12 packs with great shafting for $2.88
