There is a cave down the road about 6 miles that has natural tar/pitch oozing from the ceiling in the summer. It is still thick in the summer, and don't run in the winter. The early white settlers refined it for use in lamps. It would work, but was probably to valuable to the NA since it burns so well and has so many uses that pine pitch cant fill. Pine pitch is so much more readily available for these kinds of uses. Justin
