Primitive string

I would really like to make a primitive (not B50) string. I've heard that I can do this from squirrel hide, but how? I don't expect anyone to tell me step by step, but where to find this info would be great.

Gary, basically you make rawhide with a squirrel skin, strip it into a long lace, wet it and twist it up into a string.

I think I remember a pretty detailed description with some pictures in one of Al Herrin's books.

Thanx guys, now to the back yard with the pellet gun. I hope my daughter doesn't see me, she loves her squirrels.

I love squirrels to Gary. In casseroles, fried, baked and of course squirrel fingers are sooo good. Your daughter is a smart girl!
