Got a chance to work on it some more this weekend. The wife was laid up and I stayed home to give her a hand and help out with the Granddaughter.
I decided to get a little more bend out of the tips. This bow was screaming to be a static. So I bent them a little more with dry heat, scraped some more wood off and then started boiling some cow horn.

I boiled the cow horn strips untill they were soft and rubbery, then threw them in my vice to flatten them. After they cooled I sanded them till they would bend, glued, and clamped them down.
I then sanded them down some more on the belt sander and worked them with a little rasp. I also started to reduce the Mass of the Tips. I'm going to take this bow to about 80% of the weight I'm looking for and then sinew it. Also, the more I work on it I think I'm going to make that nasty knot disappear.
