Hickory bow for young man
« on: December 23, 2011, 01:10:03 am »
This bow is 52" tip to tip and 51" ntn.  1 1/4" wide at the fades tapering even to 3/8" at the tips.  It has a 4" handle that bends ever so slightly at the 20" draw.  Leather grip and leather floppy rest.  It is quarter sawed hickory stained with red oak stain.  It draws 10# @ 18" and can be drawn out to 20".  I did a little simple painting on the back.

I also made him a quiver and six arrows.  This is all going to be a Christmas present.
Happy hunting to all!

Great bow and super gift.  That young man will be all sorts of happy.

That's a great looking bow and that will certainly make the recipient a happy lad on Christmas day.

Thats very cool of you to do, the quiver and arrows are great!

That ought to make a young man happy, great little bow. Kid's bows are my nemesis, I can never get the weight I'm after.

Good job on that little bow.He ought to like it. I've built 2 of the little ones, and they are fun.One of them I did for my grand-daughter,but she is still too small to shoot it yet. God Bless

That's another reason to wish I was a kid again!
